A huge thank you to those families that attended our first Flowery Colour Run Event!  It was great to see so many families attending.  Special mention to our Flowery Friends team for all their work behind the scenes to ensure this event was a success! The proceeds of the event and our summer Taylor Fest will help to improve our Forest School Offer.

Our next family event takes place on Wednesday 22nd October.  Following on from last year’s event we are hosting a Spooky Soiree!  Rather than a traditional spooky disco, there will be a range of activities for children to participate in.  Families are welcome to dress up!  Places for these events need to be booked through the Pembee App.  Our Flowery Friends team are also trialling a SEND session to support any families who require additional support, this will be a quieter session.  Please speak to Mrs Silk who can signpost families who require support.

This week all children have visited our Book Bus, many children have loved exploring a book shop for the very first time. Classes have identified their favourite books which we will adding to our class libraries over the next few weeks.  We are extremely grateful to those families that purchased books as this has raised a fantastic £600 that will be further invested in school.

In our PSHE lessons and assemblies, we have been focusing on the things we do to keep ourselves safe.  We have spoken about the importance of respecting our environment and working together to create a safe space for us all to enjoy.  Unfortunately, we are seeing an increase in the amount of litter blown on to our site, we are working hard to tackle this both within school and the local community.  Mrs Vo Mulllin is currently planning a sensory garden, in memory of Lila, we hope this will add a further space for children to appreciate.

Following a successful open morning today, we are pleased to announce that we have a few nursery places available for January 26 entry.  Places are available for children born between 01/09/21 and 31/12/22. Please contact Mrs Pearson (Assistant Head) or Mrs Parton in the school office to reserve your place or book a visit to school.

Finally, I would like to thank you for your support over the last couple of days. Our thoughts are with everyone affected by these events.  We understand the impact that these events have had on members of our community and would like to offer our support during this difficult time. Please reach out to a member of the pastoral team or speak to someone in the office.

Wishing you an enjoyable and relaxing weekend

Mrs Claire Silk
