FROGGY STARS - STRIVE -TEAM - AMBITION - RESILIENCE = SUCCESS
Week – 12.09.25
What a great week in school!
Thank you for your support in helping your children settle back into school. It’s been great to see the way they have adjusted to their new classes, tackling new challenges with enthusiasm, determination and resilience. To ensure that your child is able to participate fully and gain the most from school, we need them to arrive promptly, school starts at 8:45am. Key Stage 2 children (Y3-6) will be collected from the playground. There will be chance to speak to class teachers at the end of the school day or by making an appointment through the school office.
Please ensure you have updated the My Child at School App. This will enable you to select your child’s lunch, check attendance and book on after school clubs. Important updates are also sent through the app. Please see the office if you need support in accessing the app. Our website also contains important information such as our newsletters and upcoming events. Reminders will be provided through the My Child at School App. These are also displayed on our school calendar: www.floweryfieldschool.org.uk/calendar.
Our assemblies this week have reinforced our expectations around school. We have focused on what it means to be part of Flowery Field through our Froggy Stars! These focus on the key learning behaviours we wish to promote at Flowery (STRIVE, TEAMWORK, AMBITION and RESILIENCE) to ensure all can achieve success. We will continue to have celebration events each half term to share our learning and celebrate our successes. These will be posted on our calendar and parents are welcome to attend.
On Monday, we welcomed back our farm animals. We would encourage all families to visit the farm before or after school. Special mention to Mr Fell who helped transport the animals back to Flowery! Our Saturday farm club starts back next Saturday. Any pupils in Y3-6 are welcome to attend 9 30 – 10 30.
We are grateful for your support around the morning and afternoon routines which has ensured we can enter and leave school safely. Please remember that school has a designated drop off area in a morning to help ease the problems with traffic. There are lots of friendly faces around to welcome your child and escort them to class but we do ask that cars are not left unattended. Our after-school clubs will recommence from Monday. All places need to be booked through the MCAS app. School do offer wrap around support should any family require support before 8 30 or after 3 15. Places are chargeable and can be booked through the app.
Finally, I would like to invite families to our first ‘Meet the Teacher’ event. This will take place after school on Wednesday 17th September. This will provide a chance for you to visit your child’s class and pass on any important information. There will be further opportunities throughout the year. If you have any questions, please find a member of our pastoral team who are around before and after school.
Wishing you an enjoyable and relaxing weekend
Mrs Claire Silk

These informal sessions will be a great opportunity to meet Holly from the Mental Health Support Team (MHST) and Beth, our Speech and Language Therapist (SALT).
What do these teams do?
Speech and Language Therapy (SALT)
Beth works with children who may need support with speaking clearly, understanding language, listening, or expressing themselves. These skills are essential for learning, building confidence, and forming friendships.
Mental Health Support Team (MHST)
Holly supports children with their emotional wellbeing. This could include help with anxiety, low mood, friendships, and managing emotions. Good mental health is key to helping children feel happy, safe, and ready to learn.
When and Where:
Wednesday 24th September
9:00–10:00am or 2:00–3:00pm
Please come to the front office on arrival and we’ll show you through.

We hope you’ll join us to find out more about the ways we’re here to support your child’s development and wellbeing.
